The Process
Generally, three equipment operators are needed on the job site to manage the process. The lead operator oversees the work and manages the lifting process.
Step 1
Prior to the Concrete Lifting process, holes are drilled through the sunken portion of the concrete in a 1.5″ grid pattern.
Step 2
A special mixture of grout is then used which is pumped down through the holes and under the sunken portion of the concrete. This grout mixture works to fill in the void which allowed the concrete to sink. As more grout is injected, upward pressure is created levelling the concrete slab.
Step 3
When the concrete levelling process is complete, the injection holes are filled in using a non shrinking concrete. The concrete is then cleaned thoroughly and within hours your concrete driveway or walkway is completely usable.
Staff & Equipment Required for Concrete Lifting:
Mudjacking or Concrete Lifting does require very specialized operators and equipment in order for the job to be completed safely and properly. Some of the equipment needed includes:
